Google’s Pixel 7a Set to Launch at a Higher Price and available from 11th May

Pixel 7a to Launch at $499 with Notable Improvements

Google’s upcoming Pixel 7a is expected to carry a higher price tag of $499, a $50 increase from its predecessor, the Pixel 6a. Despite the price hike, the Pixel 7a promises significant upgrades, addressing the earlier model’s limitations in display, camera, and charging capabilities.

Enhanced Features Justify the Higher Price

The Pixel 7a boasts a suite of improved specifications, including the flagship Google Tensor G2 SoC, a 90 Hz display, a 64 MP main camera sensor, a 13 MP wide-angle camera, and 5W wireless charging. These enhancements offer users a more powerful device that justifies the increased cost.

Comparing Pixel 7a and Pixel 7

In comparison to the $600 Pixel 7, the Pixel 7a offers similar features at a lower price point. However, the Pixel 7 provides a slightly larger screen, 2GB more RAM, and 20W wireless charging. Interestingly, the Pixel 7a’s battery is rumored to be larger than the Pixel 7’s 4355 mAh battery.

Launch Details and Continued Sales of Pixel 6a

The Google Pixel 7a is slated for launch at the Google I/O event on May 10, with in-store and delivery availability starting May 11. Meanwhile, the Pixel 6a will continue to be sold at a reduced price. The Pixel 7a will be available in various color options, with a “Coral” color exclusive to the Google Store.
