Samsung has launched a new software update for its Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphones, aimed at enhancing the camera performance and addressing existing issues.
Improved Autofocus Algorithm
The updated autofocus algorithm allows for quicker photography. When a user presses the camera shutter button in the default camera app, the photo is taken even if the focus is not entirely set. For users who prefer capturing images only after achieving proper focus, the settings can be adjusted through the Camera Assistant > Prioritize focus over speed menu.
Regional Availability and Timeline
The Galaxy S23 series will receive these improvements as part of the March update in South Korea. It remains to be seen whether devices in other regions will obtain these enhancements in the April update or if Samsung will release a separate update to deliver the fixes and improvements.
