Apple Unveils iOS 16.5 Beta 2 for Registered Developers
Apple continues its operating system beta cycle with the release of the second beta for iOS 16.5. Registered developers can access the latest release from the Apple Developer Center or update their devices already running the beta operating system.
Installation and Minor Changes in iOS 16.5
iOS 16.5 Beta 2 can be installed by going to the Settings app, selecting General, and then choosing Software Update. The update features a new build number, 20F5039e. As focus shifts towards iOS 17, the iOS 16.5 beta does not include many significant changes. New additions include Siri commands for screen recording and a dedicated Sports tab in the Apple News app.
Public Release and Other Apple Betas
Apple is expected to release iOS 16.5 to the public in May, with a new public beta arriving later this week. Alongside iOS 16.5 Beta 2, Apple has also released new betas for iPadOS 16.5, watchOS 9.5, tvOS 16.5, and macOS Ventura 13.4 for developers.
