Google Pixel Fold Spotted in Real-Life Video, Revealing Design and Form Factor

Google Pixel Fold Appears in Real-Life Video, Showcasing Design and Folding Mechanism

The Google Pixel Fold, expected to debut at the Google I/O event, has been spotted in a real-life video shared by known leaker Kuba Wojciechowski. The video reveals the foldable smartphone’s cover display, larger internal screen, and the folding mechanism in action. Thick bezels are noticeable in the video, setting it apart from the refined design of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 4.

Key Features and Specifications

The Google Pixel Fold is rumored to feature Google’s Tensor G2, UFS 3.1 storage of up to 512GB, and 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. It’s expected to have a 120Hz refresh rate on both the outer (5.8-inch) and inner (7.6-inch) OLED displays. The device is said to have an ultra-thin glass protected by plastic and may boast the “most durable hinge on a foldable.” The phone could weigh around 284 grams and offer water resistance.

Release Date and Pricing

The foldable smartphone is set to arrive in May, with shipments starting in June. The starting price is rumored to be $1,799 for the base model, while the 512GB variant may cost $1,919. Pre-orders could include a free Google Pixel Watch. Google’s Workspace apps are expected to be updated to accommodate the flexible form factor when the Pixel Fold hits the market.
