Google Pixel 7a Outperforms Pixel 7 in Benchmark Test

Google Pixel 7a Scores Higher Than Pixel 7 in Geekbench 6 Benchmark Test

The Google Pixel 7a, expected to be unveiled at Google I/O 2023, has reportedly outperformed its more expensive counterpart, the Pixel 7, in recent Geekbench 6 benchmark tests. This surprising result can be attributed to two factors: the Tensor G2 chipset shared with the Pixel 7 series and the continued optimization of the chipset by Google.

Tensor G2 SoC and Optimization Improve Pixel 7a Performance

The Pixel 7a’s impressive performance in benchmark tests is due to its shared Tensor G2 chipset with the Pixel 7 series and Google’s efforts to optimize the chipset over the seven-month gap between the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7a launches. The alleged Geekbench 6 results show the Pixel 7a scoring 1,380 in single-core and 3,071 in multi-core tests, outperforming the Pixel 7 but not the Pixel 7 Pro.

Pixel 7a Key Features

The upcoming Pixel 7a is set to include various noteworthy features such as: – 6.1-inch OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate – 64 MP main camera and 13 MP ultrawide shooter – 13 MP front-facing camera – 8 GB RAM – Android 13 OS

Pixel 7a Launch Date

The Google Pixel 7a is expected to be revealed and available for sale during Google I/O 2023 on May 10. With its competitive pricing and performance, the Pixel 7a is anticipated to be one of the best-selling products announced at the event.
