ASUS ROG Ally Handheld Gaming Console Set to Launch on May 11
The ASUS ROG Ally, the brand’s first handheld gaming console, is scheduled to launch on May 11. The console will be available worldwide, including in Malaysia, and will be powered by custom-made AMD Ryzen Z1 APUs.
AMD Ryzen Z1 APU Performance and Features
The standard Ryzen Z1 APU offers a 6-core, 12-thread configuration, while the Z1 Extreme has an 8-core, 16-thread configuration. Both APUs are based on the Zen 4 architecture, built on the 5nm process node.
ASUS ROG Ally Specifications and Features
The ROG Ally comes with a 7-inch Full HD display, a 16:9 aspect ratio, and a 120Hz refresh rate. The console runs on Windows 11 OS and features a 40WHr internal battery and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity.
Pricing Announcement on Launch Day
ASUS plans to reveal the pricing details for the ROG Ally on the launch day, May 11. The brand has hinted that the console will be priced aggressively to compete with the Steam Deck.
