Google Pixel Tablet Leaks Unveil Color Options and Specs
Recent leaks about Google’s upcoming Pixel Tablet have provided insights into the device’s color options and specifications. The Android tablet, first showcased at I/O 2022, marks Google’s return to the tablet market since the Nexus series.
Leaked Color Options and Specifications
Information from 9to5Google reveals that the Pixel Tablet will be available in four colors, all featuring a textured feel and a soft matte look due to a nanoceramic finish. So far, beige and green editions have been spotted, with the other two color options yet to be disclosed.
Leaked specs indicate that the Pixel Tablet will be powered by the Tensor G2 chipset, paired with 8 GB of RAM. Two storage options are expected, likely 128 GB and 256 GB. The device will include a speaker dock that charges the tablet via rear-mounted pogo pins.
Other features include a hardware switch to disable cameras and microphones, enhancing user privacy. The tablet is also rumored to function as a smart display, similar to the Google Nest Hub Max.
Launch and Expectations
Google is anticipated to unveil the Pixel Tablet at I/O 2023 on May 10, with sales beginning in June. The device, powered by the Tensor G2 chipset and Android 12L, could redefine the smart display market. However, recent news about Google discontinuing third-party smart displays using its voice Assistant raises questions about the future of the market.
