Google has introduced the first public Android 14 Beta 1 update for a range of Pixel devices, including Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 5, Pixel 5a, Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, and Pixel 7 Pro.   • Transparent Gesture Navbar Users can enable a visually appealing transparent navigation bar through Developer options.
  • Updated Shortcuts “Pause” and “App info” shortcuts have been rearranged, impacting muscle memory but constituting a minor change.
  • Enhanced PIN Privacy Animations on the keypad have been removed to make it more difficult for onlookers to determine PIN entry.

Additional Improvements and Features

The update also debuts a Material You-themed back arrow in system navigation, a revamped sharesheet allowing custom actions, and new graphics capabilities for developers, such as morphing effects and interpolation. Other enhancements include gesture navigation, a superior system share sheet with better app signal listening for direct share target ranking, per-app language support, and the accessibilityDataSensitive attribute for an extra layer of data security.
