Musk Assembles AI Research Team and Secures Funding

Musk is gathering a team of AI researchers and engineers for X.AI and has already initiated discussions with Tesla and SpaceX investors to finance the venture. He has also acquired thousands of high-powered GPU processors from Nvidia to build large language models, similar to ChatGPT technology.

Elon Musk’s Concerns About AI Safety and OpenAI

Despite leading a recent call for a pause on generative AI model development due to safety concerns, Musk’s entry into the AI market adds another venture to his extensive portfolio. The billionaire has criticized OpenAI for becoming less transparent and too commercially focused, while expressing concerns about the potential for AI systems to produce falsehoods and exhibit political bias.
