Xiaomi Mi Band 8: Upcoming Affordable Fitness Tracker with Detachable Straps

Xiaomi Mi Band 8: Anticipated Affordable Fitness Tracker with Detachable Straps and Enhanced Features

Xiaomi is reportedly preparing to launch the Mi Band 8, the next generation of its affordable fitness tracker lineup. Images of the upcoming device have surfaced from a Korean regulatory body, offering a glimpse of what to expect.

Design and Features

The core design of the Mi Band 8 appears similar to its predecessors, but with a significant change: detachable straps. Unlike the Mi Band 7, which has a one-piece strap and case, the new model is expected to feature a push-button attachment system, similar to the Apple Watch. This design update would make it easier for users to switch straps and customize their look.

The Mi Band 8 is anticipated to offer tracking for heart rate, SPO2, over 100 different workout modes, and sleep tracking, all for an affordable price. It is rumored to have Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity and a 3.87V Lithium-Ion battery.

Price and Availability

The Mi Band 7 was priced at around $60 at launch, while its predecessor was priced at $50. With the Xiaomi Smart Band series experiencing a price increase with each new iteration, the Mi Band 8 may be priced around $70. There is no confirmed release date yet, but it is expected to launch soon, possibly alongside other Xiaomi wearables, such as the Xiaomi 13 Ultra and the Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro.

Keep an eye out for more updates on the Xiaomi Mi Band 8, as this affordable fitness tracker promises to deliver an improved user experience with its enhanced features and detachable straps.
