For instance, it alerts you if a new member has joined your Home or if the app detects new smart home products in the network.

Support for Matter Smart Home Standard

Google and Samsung have announced their support for the Matter standard smart home in their smart home apps. Matter, formerly known as Project CHIP (Connected Home over IP), is an industry-unifying, open-source, royalty-free standard that aims to increase the compatibility of smart home devices. Backed by major tech companies like Google, Amazon, and Apple, Matter operates using Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Thread, enabling devices from different manufacturers to communicate seamlessly.
