Billboard Reveals Sony Xperia 1 V with Next-Gen Camera Features
Sony is set to unveil its Xperia 1 V smartphone in just ten days, and a billboard spotted in Hong Kong has offered a glimpse into its design and camera capabilities. The upcoming device sports a similar design to its predecessors, with a triple rear camera set-up featuring larger lenses and a more prominent oval island.
Advanced Camera Sensors and Low-Noise Technology
The Xperia 1 V’s tagline, “one for all lights,” hints at its focus on camera performance, as does the mention of a “next-gen double low-noise camera sensor.” Rumors suggest that Sony may implement the IMX989 sensor for the main camera, though the IMX858 seems more likely due to its support for LN2 low-noise mode in combination with the Multi-Camera Synchronization System (MCSS).
Revolutionary CMOS Sensor Architecture
The LN2 low-noise mode utilizes a novel CMOS sensor architecture that stacks photodiodes and pixel transistors on separate planes, thereby expanding dynamic range, enhancing low-light performance, and reducing noise without compromising overall device performance. The Xperia 1 V is set to launch on May 11, with more details expected to emerge during the unveiling.
